An acknowledged leader in the field of infertility, Ferring Pharmaceuticals identifies, develops and markets innovative products in the sectors of reproductive health, urology, gastroenterology, endocrinology and orthopaedics. Located in Saint-Prex since 2006, the group currently employs more than 5,000 people around the world with over 600 employees in the Canton of Vaud. In 2014, it recorded a turnover of 1.5 billion euros.

Swissquote employs a total of 545 people, 529 of whom work in Switzerland spread between the head office in Gland, with 453 employees, and the subsidiaries in Zurich and Berne. Employing a staff of only 80 when it was listed on the stock exchange in the year 2000, the online bank is one of the Swiss pioneers in its field. In 2014, it recorded a turnover of CHF 145.5 million with net profits of CHF 23.5 million. More than a quarter of its revenue comes from abroad.

Essentially specialising in the aerospace and nuclear industries, APCO Techonologies is an entirely export-oriented company. Founded in Vevey in 1992, it currently employs 250 people, 170 of whom work in the canton. It is also present as a Swiss company at the Space Centre in French Guiana, the base of the Ariane 5 launcher.
